"Then Jael wife of Heber took a tent peg in one hand and a hammer in the other. She crept up on him, drove the tent peg through his temple into the ground while he was asleep from exhaustion, and he died." (Judges 4)
"Oh Lord,
please let this SCUMBAG die quickly
and not bleed all over my tent.
Amen."
I know its not as perky as the Prayer of Jabez, but there might be a lot of people who would benefit from a small group experience based on this prayer.

Mike,
A few years back there was "The Prayer of Jabez" which people ripped out of context and began praying repetatively as an incantation for God to bless them. Small groups were formed around the prayer of Jabez and a number of books were published on how to get the prayer to "work for you". All of this was a grand display of using the Bible for our own distorted purpose rather than understanding it in it's original context.
So - this in short is sarcasm. Because who in the world is going to start a small group on this prayer? Where are all the books talking about how we can use this prayer in our lives?
Just my twisted sense of humor - it's o.k. if you don't get it.
